Enhancement of Biomedical Imaging & Biosensors Research

A multimillion dollar investment from Wester Economic Diversification has allowed the purchase of a wide range of equipment that is key to the advancement of biomedical imaging and biosensor research at the University of Manitoba.  This program supports ten researchers at the University including Dr. Freund.  In particular, this investment has allowed us to setup a facility for testing micoelectronic-based sensors for the next generation of sensors.

The integration of microelectronics and chemical sensing requires the design, fabrication and testing of new integrated circuits.  This requires extremely sensitive electronic testing equipment and probe stations.
